WHAT EVEN IS MY LIFE
Oct. 16th, 2010 10:02 pmSo, after a generally weird week, I got on the bus home from work, and a kid in front of me turned around and held out his hand until I high-fived him. So, I did!
This... was a mistake. I was on high-five duty for the next fifteen minutes, which was adorable. This was not the part of it that made it a mistake, as high fives from kids don't hurt and are fun.
The part of it that rendered my high-five-returning a mistake was he then held up both hands until I held up mine again, at which point he grabbed my hand and LICKED IT.
[Also, omg yey X Factor. I don't normally watch it but I am head over heels in love with Rebecca, Mary, and Matt. They're just marvellous, and that Mary is so fabulous and so wonderful and enthusiastic and happy at her size and age makes me joyous because it makes me think of my mum and her sisters; it makes mum so happy to see Mary performing - seeing mum jump in the air and yell "YOU GO GIRL!" is just marvellous. And reminds me I really, really need to write my size positive post at some point because it's something I comment on often but can't remember ever actually posting about, and until the mess with HR is sorted the more happy and/or bizarre things I have to blog about, the better!]
