Finally finished uploading and resizing the concert pics. I am still pretty much wordless. :D

The queue, when me and my l'il bro got there at 2.30pm, an hour and a half before the gates opened ;).

'Twas all very civilised, something I feel that this gentleman with a croissant epitomises. Because really, if you're bringing food to a festival, croissants are the way to go :D.

My little brother and I were a ~little~ excite.

The queue behind us at 3.30pm, thirty minutes before the concert.

And again, at 4pm.

And in front of us.

After me and my brother legged it across the grounds, here's where we were.

Behind us at the start of the concert.

We were so close omgomgomg.

While testing the sound, the test guy said "One, two, Watson, Watson" and then the sound cut off; the guys next to us said, "But where is Watson?" "Don't worry, Holmes'll find him." "But what about his pants?"

There was a girl in front of us who was the image of Moaning Myrtle, it was weird. She and her mum disappeared near the start of the Muse concert when the moshing began.

Me and my bro <3. Blurry dude here was hilarious - when the bass was tested and you could feel it vibrating through your bones and your heart and your soul, he piped up, "If they play Hysteria I will actually jizz."

And again :). Also, blurry guy's mates were similarly hilarious - now, I thought one of them had said "I'm straight but if I get hold of Matt Bellamy I'm clinging to him and never letting go". Thankfully, I had the sense at the concert to text myself anything silly. The actual words were; "I might be straight but if I get hold of Matthew Bellamy after the concert I'm ripping all of his clothes off."

The suspended speakers :).

This is how close we were to the side stage, btw. We were splat in the middle :D :D :D.

This is the first band, Pulled Apart by Horses, and I may be misremembering their titles slightly but I swear their song titles sounded like "I punched love", "I punched a gypsy", and "I punched a lion in the throat".

Their guitarist desperately wanted to be cool and just... wasn't. I would pet him but he looked unclean.

The lead guy was kind of cute from a distance, though.

The hot camera dude. He looked kind of like a lion. :D

Work it, bb.

Band of Skulls, who were AWESOME. I didn't recognise them until "She grew up in a nice neighbourhood/But it didn't do her no good", and then I got a wee bit overexcited.

Love that lighting :D.

My little bro clapping for them :).

Sitting down between acts - and spotted a guy with the same phone as me! :O

The Editors :D :D :D seriously didn't know they were one of the acts and I was all OMGOMGOMG when I found out because I loooooove them.

Also, the lead singer? Kind of hot in a scruffy Orlando Bloom sort of way.

Surprise jaunty angle.

SMOKERS OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL DOORS YESSSSSS.

YESSSSSSS. Also, starting to rain, noooooo.

The lights for Muse start omgggggg.

And from this moment on I can't actually describe in words what it was like. It was a blur of noise and beauty and light and Matt Bellamy's voice like the hand of God slapping you across the face. It was everything. It was perfect. I am black and blue and how do you begin to describe having the idols you've followed for over ten years, since you were a teen, live up in every possible way? How do you describe being in the middle of a violent, clothed orgy and getting off on it in a way that isn't sexual, it's beyond that, it's all the breath punched out of you and you're weeping and you almost want to die there because it's so perfect? Of sharing sweat and cups of water with thousands of strangers? How do you describe the ecstasy in something as simple as paper streamers and lights and giant eyeball balloons filled with red confetti? Of Dom in really tight shiny clothes, Matt in a silver suit with blue and red LEDs on it, of all three of them in a spinning disc that rose above the crowd? Of Map of the Problematique leading to me screaming obscenities at the impossible joy of it?

I can't find words for them, but maybe a few pictures will.

Then we left, and this was a wonderful experience too because of badass security guards - queue jumpers were LITERALLY HAULED BACK to their original positions by security :D - and because of awesome generosity. There were two people in the queue with me and my brother who realised at the last minute they had no change for the tram, so I offered to pay for them given I had plenty left over from the concert, and then the two guys behind me and my brother said "Actually, we've got two spare seats - we bought a ticket for four and the other two have buggered off". AWESOME.

Traffic Light shots in Baa Bar. Not especially delicious but they do look really, really cool.

Waiting post-concert at Manchester Oxford Road station for mum and dad.

My little brother's decided to go as Gene Simmons for Halloween. I think I could compete.

And a little after this, but before mum and dad picked us up, William and I were approached by a stranger and this exchange occurred;
Stranger - "Having a good night?" :D
Me - "Yeah!" :D
William - "Yep!" :D
Stranger - (to William) "I was gonna give you a flower for your missus but some slag just nicked it." >:(

And then he walked off. Poor William was mortified XD.

So, that was my night with Muse. I can die happy now. It cannot be beaten.
