Last night I had a dream that the (Johnny Depp version) Mad Hatter was my boyfriend. We hung out drinking tea and talking nonsense at each other. For the whole dream.
Dear subconscious; why?
And in other, surprisingly closely related news:
World's Biggest Coffee Morning!
For anyone who can make it; you are all cordially invited to a tea and coffee party at my place to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support on Sunday 26th September, 12 noon to 6pm.
Instructions!
- Bring any spare change you have lying around, even if it's just a couple of coppers.
- Bring any unwanted junk you have (toiletries, clothes etc).
- Extra guests are welcome provided they also bring spare change ;).
- Have fun!
With regards to the unwanted junk, we'll pile up what people bring and you're welcome to take from these piles anything you see and like - the remains will be donated in the morning :).
Tea, coffee, and fresh scones will be provided. It is highly likely biscuits will be provided as well. You're welcome to bring your own if you like but it's not a necessity!
Last but not least, if you need my address and/or directions, PM me or email me (emeraldembers at gmail) and I will provide them.
Any other questions, just comment here <3.

Date: 2010-09-16 06:29 pm (UTC)Basically, any way you can think of to extract funds-for-charity from the Bootle soap mountain. XD (See, I don't think the charity shop are going to take soap in wax paper or bagged bubble bars. :/)

Date: 2010-09-16 07:03 pm (UTC)meothers at the party, I can take advantage of being crosstrained with TV and Telephone issues and do a raffle at work for the rest :), as the TV and Telephone section is about 90% female (compared to the Broadband section which is inverted).no subject
Date: 2010-09-16 07:54 pm (UTC)I hate 'leaving' stuff at other people's houses. It's a terminal and chronic politeness issue. XD

Date: 2010-09-16 11:54 pm (UTC)So, what I was trying to say is: I will bring as much useless-to-me stuff as I can. And, if you want to use it as a means to increase the donation fund by saying 'Lush Stuff: 50p each' - you're welcome to (some people would object - I'm not one of them) 'Cause I don't mind what you do with it as long as you aren't left with so much soap, and nowhere to offload it, that you go completely insane and start channelling Lady Macbeth! *worries*
