It's not an au it's a futurefic sort of but in the past and an alternate option and a huge fuckoff twist because that's the way the game went and.....

Just curious, how do you mean you're not sure how to label it? Because I normally just blanket all the Legacy of Kain games AS Legacy of Kain when it comes to crossovers and assume people are either uninterested in the series or have played all the games, so.

But I'm willing to lend an ear :)!

it's not a xover, per se, it's not even a fusion, I took the stories, the ups, downs, and occasional bit of dialogue and turned it into a supernatural mega apocafic that starts thousands of years after the apocalypse and goes back (and forward) and back (and forward) until the final moment (which you know because you've played defiance)

i stole the plot (and some dialogue) but you need know absolutely nothing about LoK because that's all I took (and I will turn around and say i did this, it's not plagiarism if you admit it) it is a supernatural fic entirely but it's littered with reveals as lux (the raziel character) discovers who he is and what his destiny is. As i don't have to tell you because you're going ooh azazel as moebius that means.... and uriel as vorador that means..... you can help me with the labels

do you label it as futurefic!, au! yourguessisasgoodasmine fic!
i can't turn around and say "trust me" unfortunately (although that would do the job) and it's not until quite a way into it that things start to come clear, although it's always pretty obvious who the Great Dark/Elder God is.
see what i mean, it's a fic that stands on it's own but effin fanfic labels....!
and as for warnings, does character death count when the first thing that happens is your character is thrown into hell? see, dilemmas dilemmas

Ideally I'd like to have a look at the story to determine the labels, but from your description, I'd say AU - I wouldn't label it futurefic as it's not set in any canonical version of the Supernatural future universe, really - and I wouldn't warn for character death if the character comes back as any sort of vampire/zombie/undead; I'd only warn for character death if they're basically worm food, still and corpsey.

But these are just thoughts :)

it was eerie how easily it fit together, like creepy eerie, even the dialogue just slotted in
i was asked to do a doom/startrek/parasite eve xover timeline to see if it was possible and that amazed me with the ease of it (no scary overlaps or anything) but this was....., and to think it came from a throwaway line of dialogue in the series that made my muse go - why hello there,
