The amount of time I've spent thinking about this is flat-out embarrassing, but I've narrowed this down to two options based upon whether I would be in their world or they would be in mine.
If I was in the world of the character - Fenris from Dragon Age 2. We would be badasses together and I would not judge him for his issues with alcohol or his emo, and I would totally tell him to go for it with Hawke.
If the character was in my world - Governor Elaine Marley from Monkey Island. For ages I thought Reno from Final Fantasy VII, and then I remembered the whole bit with him essentially murdering everyone in Sector 7, so I decided it might be a bad idea to have him hanging around (even if it would be entertaining). Elaine is funny and smart and capable and I would want to be total BFFs with her.
