Date: 2012-01-30 07:45 pm (UTC)Tumblr definitely seems to like quirkier pairings for the most part, which deeply pleases me - Balthazar/Castiel seems a lot more popular on Tumblr than on LJ, thank goodness, because those two had chemistry together and if there wasn't any support for them anywhere I might have to cry a little.

Date: 2012-02-01 05:11 pm (UTC)Castiel's the one I find easiest to write with everyone, but when I doodle out my ships on paper, Castiel and Sam are split fairly evenly. Poor Dean gets less love ;). I've not given this toooooo much thought, but roughly speaking it looks like Dean has about eight ships (excluding threesomes/moresomes), while Sam and Castiel both have about fourteen each XD.
It is literally impossible to sketch my SPN ships prettily. Unlike Digital Devil Saga, where it's basically just Gale in the middle, and everyone surrounding him in a pretty lotus flower. XD

Date: 2012-01-30 09:39 pm (UTC)This is perhaps not the place for it, but I just read ALL of your Blindfold fill stories and can't possibly leave a comment for each one. So, I'll just say here, OMG! They're all so good. Mishalecki Sleeping Beauty is my favs, so filthy and sweet at the same time. Yayz! And Safety Off, so much greatness because I really do believe that Castiel is a sociopath and Balthazar is the slut he loves. Surprisingly enjoyed Yes, even though I thought it would make me really uncomfy. Not surprisingly, freaking LOVED the D/C watersports story. But I have to take back what I said before. The Mishalecki was not my favorite, it was the S/D murder/suicide. It was so sad and yet, kind of a great heaping relief to read. This is basically how I want the show to end.
Also, while browsing your masterlist, I read your Lost Souls fanfic for Ghost and Steve. Seriously teared up a little. Oh, those boys. ::sigh::

Safety Off I have a weird urge to expand into a longer fic because I utterly loved the atmosphere of it, and I adore Balthazar/Castiel in any and all forms. And Yes was a pet project for me the moment I saw the prompt - I have a mild form of autism and I get so, so angry when I see people get it wrong in fic that I had to write it myself XD.
Lost Souls is one of those books I like a little less every time I read it except for Those Two Scenes, the one when Ghost and Steve kiss while they're all sleepy, and the bit at the end when they're being all schmoopy. I like that Poppy sometimes makes reference to them in other stories of hers and in her short story compilations so you know they're okay <3.

I've never read an autism story before this one, simply because I never really trusted anyone to get it right. There are so many different levels. Most people seem to see autistic people as grown children, but that is not always the case. I'm glad that you decided to take up that prompt. You really did it justice.
Re: Lost Souls. I totally agree with you about it becoming less and less enjoyable with each read. I loved it the first time, but I've grown up a lot since then. I will never, ever stop loving the relationship between Steve and Ghost though. It's worth re-reading just for them. :)

I think people over-simplify saying autistic people are like children - something that still simplifies without getting it quite so wrong would be to say that they're like regular people with the *emotional* reasoning of a child. With my mild form I'm mostly functional but I do still have sobbing fits or angry fits in response to certain triggers - I find the easiest way to describe it to people is "Think of how you feel when you hear nails on a chalkboard. Multiply it by ten." ^^
With Lost Souls I came to it after the shine had worn off Anne Rice, so it was nice to see someone go YES THERE IS ACTUAL SEX IN THIS ONE AND NOT JUST HIDING FROM ANY POSSIBILITY OF SEX DESPITE TALKING ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME, but it's definitely less my thing as I'm older. Ghost and Steve are lovely together and Ghost is just one of my favourite characters going in general.
Just got one last Balthazar/Castiel repost due (how appropriate!) and I'm finished, but reformatting it's a swine given the original post was about 40% italics ;).

You'd think I was sitting on Tom Hiddleston's face. I'm going to follow your suggestion of no more chocolate and see if that helps to ease things up.
Also a point of curiosity is I've heard conflicting reports about coriander being an aphrodisiac and an anaphrodisiac. Do you know anything about whether it might be worth throwing some into my diet?

Best bet is to tone down the chocolate AND the refined sugar first as the glucose hit COULD be giving you an endorphin kick. And I'd have a word with the doc as your mellow mind/hyper girlie bits problem could be related to your meds.
